1. Service

Exact Handwriting Extractor ("we", "the service") provides AI-powered PDF translation and reconstruction. Use of the website at exacthandwritingextractor.com and the translation service is governed by these terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be over 18 and legally capable of entering into contracts to use this service. By using it you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Your documents

• You retain all ownership of documents you upload.
• You grant us a limited licence to process documents solely to perform the translation you've requested.
• You confirm you have the right to translate and store the documents you upload.
• We do not use your documents to train any AI model.

4. Prohibited use

You may not upload documents that:

• Contain material that's illegal, defamatory, or infringes third-party rights
• Contain CSAM, extreme violence, or content targeting minors
• Contain malware or are designed to exploit or disrupt the service
• Violate export controls, sanctions, or the GDPR rights of third parties

We reserve the right to decline or terminate processing of any document.

5. Translation accuracy

The service uses large language models for translation and vision models for diagram reconstruction. These systems can make mistakes. You are responsible for reviewing output before using it in safety-critical, legally-binding, or otherwise sensitive contexts. We make no warranty that output is fit for any particular purpose and do not provide certified translations.

6. Fees and payment

• Fees are charged in GBP at rates published on the pricing page.
• Pay-as-you-go credits are charged at upload. Team plans are billed monthly in advance.
• All payments are processed by Stripe.
• Failed payments may result in service suspension.

7. Refunds

If a translation fails due to a bug on our side, we refund the credit automatically. If you're unhappy with output quality, email us within 7 days — we offer discretionary refunds case-by-case.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from use of the service is capped at the amount you've paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We accept no liability for indirect or consequential losses.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violation of these terms, non-payment, or abuse. On termination we delete your documents within 30 days unless required to retain them by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email to registered users with 30 days' notice.
